What Next?

How thrilling to finish my first 100% owner handled dog going BoW on Saturday. Seemingly unfazed by his new title, Preston proceeded undo hours of grooming in our muddy backyard.

So now that this is complete - what next? Special, obedience, herding? We need a title on the other side of his name.

Blast Off

I meant to chronicle my preparations before a show, but the week got away from me and now it's the morning of.

We are groomed and ready to go with only a few last minute touchups to be done onsite. Of course it has to rain so the feet that were snow white are now gloriously brown with mud. Thank goodness for self wash!

I set up at the show site last night to reduce this morning's chaos. I'm waiting until after the 2nd cup of coffee to kick in before I pack the car with our remaining gear (note to self: don't forget your chair!) and shower.

Really hoping for that one last point today! But it's a dog show, so anything can happen.

Trying to get that one last point.

Next show is Sat.

Tonight I decide my leather lead has streched too much so I should shorten it (I braid my own).

And I'll do some line combing.

Nails were trimmed yesterday - and I'll touch 'em up fri night.
